The origins of Allens go back more than a hundred years. The original firm Mackenzie Reid and Donaldson was based in Glasgow with offices throughout Renfrewshire. By the late 1980’s it had become McCalman Bruce and Co and eventually by the late 1990’s was Allen, Bruce and Co and then Allens with a main office at Canniesburn Toll in Bearsden. In 2007 Allens merged with Peterkins Robertson Paul Solicitors [a firm with similarly deep historical roots] and in April 2008 opened a new Glasgow city centre office in Cambridge Street, just off Sauchiehall Street.
